Safety Policy

Adopted August 2026

This is Found's safety policy. It describes the content and conduct we prohibit, how we verify members, what happens when someone is reported, when we notify members who have been in contact with a removed account, and where to find help. It applies to every member, everywhere Found operates. Our practical safety guide is at foundsocialclub.com/safety.html.

1. Prohibited content and conduct

Found prohibits, on and off the platform where it arises out of use of the service: any act, threatened act, or attempted act of homicide, sexual assault or any non-consensual sexual conduct, physical assault, kidnapping, stalking, harassment, drugging or involuntary intoxication, robbery, or theft, and any other conduct that threatens public safety or another person's safety. We also prohibit fraud and financial scams, impersonation and false identities, hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors in any form, solicitation, and knowingly false reports against other members. The full rules of conduct are in our Community Guidelines in the app and our Terms of Service.

2. Criminal background screenings

FOUND DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS ON ITS MEMBERS. Our membership terms do not permit anyone who has been convicted of a crime involving violence, sexual misconduct, exploitation, or abuse of another person to use Found. We do not verify this by screening; members certify it when they agree to our Terms, and we remove accounts when we learn the certification was false. Membership is not a guarantee of anyone's history or conduct. Because we do not screen, treat everyone you meet as a stranger. If we remove an account in error, the member can email help@foundsocialclub.com and we will review the decision.

3. Age gate and photo verification

Every applicant must be at least 18 years old, and the birthday given at signup is checked and enforced by our systems before an account can be created. Every applicant completes photo verification before approval: a live selfie, compared against their profile photos, reviewed together with the whole application by a person on our team. Photo verification confirms that a member matches their photos. It is not an identity document check and not a criminal background check.

4. Suspension and removal

When a member is reported, a person on our team reviews the reported conduct and the account's history. While we investigate a serious report, we may suspend the account so it cannot interact with other members. We permanently remove an account when we find prohibited conduct that threatens anyone's safety, a false identity, fraud or attempted fraud, or a serious or repeated violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.

5. Appeals

A member who has been suspended or removed as the result of reports may appeal by emailing help@foundsocialclub.com from the email address on their account. A person who was not involved in the original decision reviews the appeal and the underlying reports, and replies with the outcome. Appeals do not apply to removals required by law.

6. Notice to members who had contact with a removed account

If we ban an account because, in our judgment, it used a false identity or posed a significant risk of trying to obtain money from members, we notify every member who received and responded to a message from that account. The notice goes out by push notification and email within twenty-four hours of the ban, and includes the banned account's profile identifier, the reason category, a reminder never to send money or personal financial information to another member, and a link to our fraud-avoidance guidance. For other reports of prohibited conduct, we may notify members who have had contact with the reported account when, in our judgment, doing so protects their safety.

7. How to report, and reporting responsibly

To report a member: tap the three-dot menu on their profile or in your chat and choose Report, pick a reason, and add details if you would like. Events have their own Report link on the event page. You can also email safety@foundsocialclub.com. Every report is reviewed by a person, and reporting in good faith never affects your own account. Do not submit false reports, or reports made for malicious, biased, or other illegitimate reasons. Knowingly false or bad-faith reports violate our Terms of Service and can lead to action against the reporting account.

8. Consent

Engaging in sexual conduct with another person without that person's consent violates this policy, is against the law, and may result in criminal or civil liability.

9. If something happens to you

If you experience sexual assault, domestic violence, or another crime connected to your use of Found, you are not alone and it is not your fault. In an emergency, call 911.

10. Safety measures we take

Photo verification of every member before approval. Human review of every application, every report, and every appeal. In-app reporting on profiles, chats, and events, and blocking that works with or without a report. A dedicated safety notice, shown to every member at signup, with a safety guide that stays available from signup onward. Fraud-ban notifications to members who were in contact with a removed account. A harassment report policy, published on our safety page. We review these measures as the platform grows.
