Our photo verification confirms that a member matches their photos. It is not a criminal background check. Treat everyone you meet as a stranger, however familiar they feel.
"There is no substitute for acting with caution when communicating with any stranger who wants to meet you." Here is how to look out for yourself while using Found, online and in person.
Never include your last name, email address, home address, phone number, place of work, or any other identifying information in your profile or first messages. Stop communicating with anyone who pressures you for personal or financial information, or attempts in any way to trick you into revealing it.
Never send money or share financial details with someone you met on Found, no matter the story. Anyone who is able to commit identity theft can also falsify a dating profile. Be cautious of anyone who quickly professes strong feelings, pushes to move the conversation off the app, avoids meeting or video calls, or eventually raises an emergency that only money, gift cards, or cryptocurrency can fix. That arc is a script. If it happens, stop replying and report the profile.
If you choose to have a face-to-face meeting with another member, always tell someone in your family or a friend where you are going and when you will return. Never agree to be picked up at your home. Always provide your own transportation to and from your date, and meet in a public place with many people around. If something feels off, leave. You never owe anyone an explanation.
In the app, tap the three-dot menu on someone's profile or in your chat and choose Report. Pick a reason, add details if you would like, and block them at the same time if you want to. Events have their own Report link on the event page. You can also email safety@foundsocialclub.com. Our team reviews every report.
This is Found's policy for handling reports of harassment by or between members. It applies to every member, everywhere Found operates. Every report is reviewed by a person on our team. We look at the reported conduct and the account's history, and we act on what we find. Depending on severity and pattern, that can mean removing content, a warning, a suspension, or a permanent ban. Harassment that threatens anyone's safety, on or off the platform, results in removal. Reporting is free of retaliation. Filing a report in good faith never affects your own account, even if we ultimately find no violation. Knowingly false or bad-faith reports violate our Terms of Service. You can block a member at any time, with or without reporting them. If we take action against your account and you believe it was a mistake, contact help@foundsocialclub.com. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 before reporting in-app. We cooperate with law enforcement as the law requires.
