How long are my messages kept?

Messages are permanently deleted one year after they're sent, even if the chat is still active.

When you unmatch or block someone, the conversation disappears for both of you right away. We may keep the messages for up to that same year so our team can review them if someone reports a safety issue. After that, they're deleted.
