Why do I have to take a selfie?

Your verification selfie confirms that you're the person in your profile photos. It helps keep fake profiles off Found.

• Before the camera opens, you'll read our Biometric Data Notice and agree to it.
• An automated check compares your selfie with your photos, and our team reviews it. Your selfie is never shown on your profile.
• We delete your selfie as soon as your application is approved or declined, and we never keep it longer than 30 days. We don't store your face data. We keep only whether the check passed.

Selfie verification is not a background check. FOUND DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS ON ITS MEMBERS.
